The Kansas City Professional Chapter of EWB (EWB-KC) mentors local university chapters, volunteers in the local Kansas City community, and has international projects. Our membership includes, paramedics, water resource technicians, lawyers, engineers, architects, homemakers, scientists, surveyors, construction managers, and more. Our membership is open to all. Only a portion of the work we do is technical. We need your help!
The EWB-KC chapter was formed in August 2006 and includes professionals from the Kansas City metropolitan area. EWB-KC has had projects in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Our most recent completed project was in the Domincan Republic at the Barraca School and Church. Through the span of several years, we drilled a well, created a system to clean the water, constructed a distribution system, implemented a waste water system and septic tank, and installed solar panels.
